Named (Need-Based) Scholarships
There are several need-based Named Scholarships awarded each year. These scholarships are designed to help those who demonstrate financial need, and who have a B average (3.0) or higher in the core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies). For a list of the Named Scholarships, click here
A select few of these Named Scholarships honor firefighters lost during the World Trade Center attacks. Immediate relatives (children, grandchildren) of current, retired, or deceased firefighters are highly encouraged to apply for a Named Scholarship. Note: If you are not a relative of an FDNY firefighter, you can still apply for a Named Scholarship whose criteria does not specify that.
